Honouring our key supporters
As part of our ongoing mission to preserve and share the many threads that make up Malaysia's living tapestry, The Living History Project is proud to document untold and alternative histories. Partnership
Strengthening heritage through partnership
The programme serves as a formal platform to document and honour contributions across our digital channels — particularly on Instagram, where we spotlight the collaborative spirit behind heritage work in Malaysia. By maintaining a public record of involvement, we highlight how community effort drives cultural preservation forward.
Built on the belief that cultural preservation thrives through community collaboration, Friends of the Museum showcases the many ways people and institutions contribute to our shared mission — a comprehensive story of collective commitment to Malaysian heritage conservation.

Get Involved
Join the circle
Beyond recognition, the programme functions as an engagement tool — encouraging continued participation from current supporters and inviting new contributors to join our efforts. Through consistent acknowledgment and storytelling, we're building a sustainable network of heritage advocates across Malaysia.
Participation reflects a formal acknowledgment of shared values — a commitment to preserving Malaysia's cultural legacy and making it accessible for generations to come.

Pom Madendjian

Child of French expatriates, Pom Madendjian spent 18 years abroad before returning to France to study political sciences, communication and marketing. She worked for nearly ten years in media and advertising, before changing her life and career direction.
Having become an expatriate again in 2013, this time as an adult, she had to — like many following spouses — learn to adapt and reinvent herself with each new mobility: Mexico, South Africa, Philippines, Vietnam and now Malaysia. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of La Gazette, the only French magazine in Malaysia, founder of the French Book Fair in KL — whose 2025 edition was supported by LHP — as well as a volunteer French-language guide at the National Museum of KL.
“I firmly believe that culture is not a luxury, but the foundation of a nation that knows itself, defends its values and its history. Malaysia's is exceptionally diverse and rich, and I trust it is essential to preserve its physical and intangible heritage. LHP's work is part of an exceptionally intelligent approach and long-term vision that we must support.”
