HARTINI ZAINUDDIN
Child Activist & Co Founder of Yayasan Chow Kit
Dato’ Dr. Hartini Zainudin is a prominent activist who has dedicated nearly three decades to the welfare of marginalized children. She co-founded Yayasan Chow Kit, Malaysia’s first 24/7 child-crisis center, providing essential services and protection to vulnerable children. Hartini has also been involved in advocacy, law and policy reforms, and training on children’s issues. She holds a PhD from Columbia University and has worked extensively in both the U.S. and Malaysia. Currently, she is a consultant for the Malaysian Red Crescent and an active fundraiser, especially focused on aiding refugees and migrant children during the pandemic.
