Every time I read an obituary in the morning papers or witness the destruction of neighborhoods and iconic structures due to modernization and redevelopment, I feel a profound sense of sadness and loss. Each death, each demolished building, represents a story that will never be told, a piece of our collective memory that will remain unknown.

This is why I started The Living History Project. We need to capture the stories and experiences of the people and places that shaped our nation before it’s too late. By creating a digital archive that everyone can access, we ensure that these stories are not only saved but also given new life, inspiring and teaching future generations.

However, this project is still evolving. We are learning along the way, and there will be mistakes and challenges. We are a small team with a limited budget, and we know that we can’t do this alone.
