Some lives go unrecorded. Some places disappear before their stories are told. TLHP records Malaysians in their own words, and each film enters a free public archive, made with care and kept for the long view. That work needs people behind it.
Every collaboration begins with a shared respect for the story. Sponsors and supporters help the work reach the public; TLHP brings the editorial care and independence that allow each account to remain faithful to the person and history behind it. You may bring us an idea, stand behind a project already taking shape, sponsor a story, or help in a practical way.
Five ways to make the work possible
Corporate Collaboration
Begins with an idea, not a package. Tell us what your organisation hopes to make possible and we shape it together — a film, an exhibition, a public programme or a body of work developed over time. The idea leads; the format follows.
Project Sponsorship
TLHP curates the subject and sets its editorial direction; sponsors help bring it to life. Every live opportunity states its status, what remains to be made possible and the recognition available.
Wider Public Support
Not every supporter needs to be the principal sponsor. Selected projects welcome support at a level that feels right, with a simple credit, an honour to someone else, or no acknowledgement at all.
In-Kind Partnership
A filming venue, transport, accommodation, equipment or professional expertise can carry a project further and make the best use of the support already in place.
Friends of the Museum
TLHP’s wider recognition programme for the individuals and organisations who strengthen the work through advocacy, introductions, knowledge, access and continued support.
What your support sets in motion
A filmed interview is often only where a story begins. TLHP records oral histories, maps heritage places, gathers photographs and personal archives, and builds long-form projects around communities and histories at risk of being lost. That work reaches public life through exhibitions, festivals, talks, walks, screenings and workshops. Behind each project sits research, fieldwork, trust and careful production. The finished work may be a film, an archive, a heritage map, an exhibition or a public programme — whatever the form, it adds something lasting to Malaysia’s record.

TLHP is an initiative of Living History Sdn. Bhd. (202301015386 / 1509308-T), which receives and manages sponsorship payments for the work. TLHP is not a registered charity. Sponsorships are not charitable tax-deductible donations, and the terms of any financial commitment are made clear before payment.
