It is issued to honour Mak Yong — one of Malaysia's oldest and most revered performance traditions, born of the royal courts and village stages of Kelantan, and recognised by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Intangible Heritage — and to mark the inaugural chapter of TLHP's cultural collection series.

For absolute clarity: this coin is not legal tender, not investment-grade bullion, not a financial product, and not a deposit or savings instrument of any kind. Its value is commemorative, cultural, and personal.

The coin is a 999.9 purity gold wafer weighing 0.2g, produced by Habib Jewels, and set within a clear acrylic coin housing. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity bearing a unique serial number.

No. TLHP makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee regarding the coin's future resale value, its performance as an investment, or the existence of any secondary market. Any perceived appreciation or depreciation after purchase is entirely beyond TLHP's knowledge, control, or responsibility.

Each coin arrives in a two-layer keepsake presentation and includes:

• A full-colour Mak Yong illustrated outer envelope with gold foil detail
• A coin mounted in a clear acrylic capsule on a printed collector's card
• A Certificate of Authenticity

This is a strictly limited edition of 100 coins, each bearing a unique serial number from 1 to 100. Once sold out, no further production is planned. TLHP reserves the right to close the sale at any time without prior notice.

TLHP has not appointed any agent, representative, or third-party reseller for this coin. Any sale conducted outside our official store is unauthorised, and TLHP bears no responsibility whatsoever for products, claims, or disputes arising from such transactions. TLHP accepts Credit Card, Debit Card, FPX (online banking), and e-wallet via our secure payment gateway.

We do not accept personal bank transfers, e-wallet payments to individuals, or cash under any circumstances. If you are directed to pay via any method other than those at our official checkout, do not proceed — this is not an authorised TLHP transaction.

Yes. You are welcome to purchase as many coins as you like.

Yes. A confirmation email containing your official TLHP receipt will be sent to your registered email address upon successful payment. Please retain this as proof of your authorised purchase — it will be required for any post-purchase enquiry.

If you do not receive this email, check your spam or junk folder first. If it is still not there, contact us at goldcoin@thelivinghistoryproject.com.my with your full name and date of purchase.

Contact us at goldcoin@thelivinghistoryproject.com.my within 24 hours of placing your order with your full name, correct email address, and order date. After this window, TLHP cannot guarantee that your receipt and dispatch notifications will reach you, and bears no liability for communications sent to the address on record.

All sales are final upon successful payment. We encourage you to review your order carefully before completing checkout.

The sole exception is a verified error on TLHP's part, such as an incorrect item dispatched.

Orders will be dispatched to your stated delivery address within 14 calendar days of confirmed payment. TLHP will arrange delivery via a courier of its choosing.

Every order is personally inspected by a dedicated TLHP team member before it leaves us — we take the same care with your order that we take with every story we preserve.

Yes. A tracking number will be included in your dispatch notification email once your order has been handed to the courier. You may use this to monitor your delivery directly with the courier.

Address changes must be submitted within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing goldcoin@thelivinghistoryproject.com.my with your order reference and the correct delivery address. After this window, TLHP cannot guarantee redirection and bears no liability for misdelivery to the address on record.

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier will follow their standard redelivery or collection procedure. Please liaise directly with the courier using the tracking number provided in your dispatch notification. TLHP is not able to act as intermediary between you and the courier.

No. For security reasons, the outer packaging carries no branding, product description, or any reference to its contents. Only your name and delivery address will appear on the outside.

TLHP ensures every coin is carefully packaged and handed to the courier in verified good condition. Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon handover to the courier. TLHP is not liable for loss or damage occurring during transit beyond any coverage provided by the courier.

If you have not received your coin, notify us at goldcoin@thelivinghistoryproject.com.my within 7 calendar days of the expected delivery date stated in your dispatch confirmation email. Include your order reference and confirm that the delivery address submitted at checkout was correct.

TLHP will initiate a courier trace. If the courier confirms non-delivery, TLHP will first pursue recovery of your specific coin. If recovery is unsuccessful, a full refund of your purchase price as per your official TLHP receipt will be issued via direct bank transfer.

Where the courier confirms delivery, the claim will not be upheld. Claims submitted with an incorrect delivery address are void.

The TLHP Gold Coin is non-returnable and non-exchangeable. All sales are final.

Given the commemorative and limited-edition nature of this coin, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges — including change of mind, subjective dissatisfaction with appearance or finish, or coins purchased as gifts.

Your TLHP Gold Coin is a 999.9 purity gold wafer — the highest grade of gold. At this purity, gold is naturally soft and requires mindful handling.

Our care recommendations:

• Keep the coin within its acrylic housing at all times.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, humidity, and chemicals (including perfumes and cleaning agents).
• Handle by the edges of the acrylic housing — avoid direct contact with the gold surface.
• Clean the acrylic housing only with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners.
• Keep away from sharp objects that may scratch either the coin or the housing.

With proper care, your coin will remain a lasting piece of Malaysian heritage for generations.

Removing the coin from its acrylic housing, physically altering or melting the coin, or any attempt to modify the serial number or Certificate of Authenticity will void all authenticity guarantees immediately. The physical coin, once altered, can no longer be verified as an original TLHP issue.

Yes. At checkout, you may indicate that this purchase is a gift and provide the recipient's name for inclusion on the receipt. The recipient will be logged in the TLHP patron registry — no separate registration is required on their end.

Please note that the purchase contract is between TLHP and the purchaser. The recipient of a gift has no independent right to return, exchange, or raise claims — all post-purchase enquiries must be raised by the original purchaser with proof of the official TLHP receipt.
